SIEMENS – The Jiangsu Rudong Offshore Wind Power Plant began operation in May 2012 and is Siemens’ first order for offshore wind power outside Europe. Siemens has installed 21 SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines off the coast of the Rudong district in the East China Sea having a total output of approximately 50 megawatts (MW).
Siemens produced the major turbine components of the 50-megawatt project right at the Shanghai production facility. Since November 2010, blades have been fabricated there both for the Chinese market and for export. more> http://tinyurl.com/d38sska
