Stratocumulus Clouds Over Pacific
NASA – ISS034-E-016601 (4 Jan. 2013) — On Jan. 4 a large presence of stratocumulus clouds was the central focus of camera lenses which remained aimed at the clouds as the Expedition 34 crew members aboard the International Space Station flew above the northwestern Pacific Ocean about 460 miles east of northern Honshu, Japan. This is a descending pass with a panoramic view looking southeast in late afternoon light with the terminator (upper left). The cloud pattern is typical for this part of the world. The low clouds carry cold air over a warmer sea with no discernable storm pattern.

By Former Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) – The patchwork “fiscal cliff” deal struck in the final moments of the 112th Congress makes modest steps toward reducing spending and adding new revenue. However, it’s clear that far more must be done in order to address the problems that persist and set our nation on a path toward fiscal stability.
Real recovery will not occur in Washington; rather it will be accomplished through the hard work of the millions of business owners and employees stimulating our economy through their productivity. And right now, what these engines of economic recovery need more than anything from policymakers is certainty, stability, and an environment that enables them to thrive and create jobs. more> http://tinyurl.com/ax439dc

By George Bradt – Today’s technology is adding addictions, disrupting the workflow and making many of us less efficient and effective.
Your technology choices must help you win where it matters. Having the most advanced knowledge is merely a fleeting advantage. Technological superiority is not in itself a strategy; it’s part of enabling a greater vision.

Technology is a means to our ends, not an end itself. Approach it with the right attitude. You don’t want your movie to end the way the Terminator series does. The machines are winning. We have to turn the tide. more> http://tinyurl.com/b4qp5vd

By David Cianciolo – When it comes to reliable system operation, choosing the right connector is key.
The right connector can make your system smaller, lighter, and easier for the user to handle. It’s not a place to take shortcuts, as the right connector system can help avoid the high price of recalls, repairs, and lost customers. Conducting adequate research on the connectors and cables must be done at the beginning of a systems design process to produce the optimal design. Follow these 10 steps to research the ideal connector early in the design phase and you can positively impact the design, usability, and cost structure of your entire device. more> http://tinyurl.com/b954x5h
